Used my Freedom plate Friday on the Spectre over at Anacapa. This time I tried it with my horse collar instead of the 18# wing and it was perfect! Dropped 4# off my belt, but could still drop another 2# (using DiveRite cams which add 2# total); wasn't sure about the horse collar but it didn't add anything, so I see I can now get by with 8# on my belt. Talk about "freedom" and with my semi-dry suit at that! I'll take it over to Catalina next week and add some weight to help with bottom work with a class. That's why I wanted to see how the horse collar would work as it would give me the extra lift over my usual wing.
