Farnsworth report |
Posted by Jon on April 01, 2008 at 10:14:05: We braved some so-so top side conditions on Saturday to get out to Farnsworth. Ironically, the backside of the island was a little flatter than the front but we still plenty of heaving swells (and heaving divers). Once underwater it was all worth it. The vis opened up to better than 50 feet, more than enough to grasp the grandeur of the bank. I'd forgotten how cool it was to hovering over the edge of the drop off from the high spot and gaze into the wild blue. (The frontside dives were very green and fairly forgettable, which made the Farnsworth dive stand out all the more). Thanks to Dana for organizing and Richard and crew for running the Sea Bass. |
