After being out of the water since the closing night of bug season, our group met at Aliso beach in Laguna to make a deep dive for Halibut on the Aliso pipe. We dropped down into 53 degree water, no surge, up to 30' vis, great vis for this site by the way. We followed the pipe out to 80' of water, and saw many nice schools of large Sand Bass, some juvenile Rockfish, but only two 15" Halibut were spotted. We also saw a very large Electric Ray and just enjoyed the great vis on the swim back to shore
