ab diving with a DPV allowed by the DFG?

I have been tempted to go up north and ab dive with my DPV.

The DVD that comes with it gives a tutorial on freediving with the DPV.

The only thing that I do not know and cannot find in the regs is whether freediving for abs is allowed with a DPV?

Anyone know?
