Maybe I should go away to Socorro more often . . .

In my absence the last two weeks, you guys have been busy-busy-busy. Excellent work. We have not only passed $30K, but we passed $35K and have a reasonable shot at $40,000 for this year’s Challenge.

We start off by saluting Debbie Karimoto (a Chamber Day 2008 Committee member) and the guys and gals of OCDiving.com. They’ve been doing a challenge amongst themselves and have, as of this morning, raised $4000, with hopes of more to come before May 7. Great work people, and one more example of the good things we can do when we all pull together as a united diving community.

We also want to single out Jim & Melinda Herndon of Scuba.com. They not only made a $1000 Gold donation in the name of their store, but also made a second Gold donation in the name of the Herndon family. Thank you very much.

And finally, we want to add mark Conover to the list of Gold donors. Mark lives in Hemet, did his donation through the website, and is underscores that you don’t need to live in Los Angeles proper to support our Chamber.

We’ve got a little less than three weeks to go. Can we hit that magic $40,000 mark. Can you help??? Who’s next??? Who will help push us past $37,000???
