The hot setup is to use beeswax on the outside of the teeth & McNett's "Zip Care" liquid on the inside sealing surface.
The folks at BDM (the mfgr) recommend the Zip Care.
Trick is to keep an eye out for buildup of the old wax, it can eventually keep the zipper slide from maxing out to the limit for a complete seal.
