I get dizzy until it does clear during an ascent. It happens more often in cold water, and more when I do many ascents and descents. Using a Dive Tracker helps because I don't need to ascend to take a heading on the boat, thus less up and down. I also take Aleve before I dive to prevent my eustation tubes from getting inflamed and swelling shut. Decongestants which you often hear people recommend do not work unless you have a stuffed sinus to start with. My pharmacist recommended the Aleve and my doctor agreed it would help. |
