Wow.

That made my skin crawl- how IRRESPONSIBLE that journalist is to portray diving as "fun" and getting certified as "easy".

Ugh. What was he thinking?!!

When will the media show the real truth: that learning to dive is a long, brutal, and alternately boring and agonizing process?

IMHO, there is no room for fun or enjoyable experiences in diving.

Clearly, we know better than the instructor to ascertain the skill levels of those children, and he should never have even let them LOOK at water, no matter what.

It disheartens me to no end that those kids actually *liked* diving and, given the opportunity, would do it again in a heartbeat.
