Scott, Margaret, and I took the boat out on Sunday to OML. Visibility was ok, but not great – on the other hand, the water was a balmy 64 degrees! Lots of nudibranchs and the usual critters. We went around to the wreck of the Avalon, but the current was screaming towards the south, so we opted to move further back towards King Harbor and dive the Barge. On the barge, the water was still warm (61 degrees) and visibility was about 10 feet. I found some simnias to photograph. Monday, Todd Winner joined the three of us on the Popeye Maru. There was a great deal of mixed swell in the South Bay, so we decided to dive Hawthorne Reef. Visibility was very nice (30+ feet), but the water temp was 52 degrees! What a difference a day makes. There were many, many different species of nudis and lots of egg cases. Here are some of my images from this w/e: Olympus E-330, Zuiko 50mm + 1.4TC
