I'd suggest calling Dolphin Dive in Arcadia and Ocean Safari in San Gabriel and seeing if you feel like either is a good fit.

Haven's Reef in Eagle Rock is another option that isn't too far away, depending on what part of the San Gabriel Valley you're in.
