The only place I have heard of the SUDS program is at Walter Reed which handles the most serious cases except for the burns which are at San Antonio (horrible thing, they often put accelerant in with the roadside bombs). But that is a good question.

But I don't know if SUDS is going to expand beyond the major treatment centers. I know California has the most fatalities of state, ergo they will probably also lead in wounded. I know there is someone who wants to work with the Long Beach and LA VA hospital on adding SCUBA to their offerings programs for the injured being treated there.

I also know there is at least one SoCal resident who returned from the war and has been through the SCUBA program (SUDS) as part of their rehab. So that got me to thinking, “great, you took them to Belize and taught them to dive, now what?”. So that got me to looking for an avenue to be help, hence the HSA.
