I just made a drysuit repair on an old heavy duty 7 mil neoprene suit I have. There were a couple of seeping holes in the butt area and the front leg area from urchin spines.
I shoved a couple empty plastic water bottles in the cuffs from inside then borrowed my wife's bender exercise ball and shoved it in the neck from inside then zipped up the suit and filled it with air. I put enough air in the suit that in inflated like a balloon then I spritzed the suspected leak areas and looked for bubbles. I fould all the leaks and circled them with a white china marker then when the suit dried I dabbed a little black windshield urethane over the holes and it worked perfect.
