I'm new to diving- snorkeling, actually. My favorite shore dive thus far is Christmas Tree Cove in Palos Verdes. The visibility is better than most other coves in the area and there is interesting life right near shore and of course further out in the boulders and reefs there is even more to see. I saw a really large shovelnose last time in the shallows. The unstable trail to get there makes it fun too.
