Scott - it might be worth your while to give it a shot. Last week in the same area the surface conditions were about as you described, but at about 15 to 25-feet there was a thermocline, below which we had at least 20-foot viz and usually considerablly better. It was a bit cold, though. On the Avalon, my computer recorded 48 degrees...
