I met with Kevin today and the barbeques and pot lucks will continue as one goal is to provide a forum to develop dive friendships.

The campout at Castaic Lake will be September 27. Castaic Lake provides a site to apply what is taught for altitude and fresh water diving. We will conduct 4 training exercises on Sept 27 (search and measurement, underwater construction, lift, and navigation) followed by the traditional team cook-off and campout that night. Next day the teams put into practice lift bag and air requirement calculations, an underwater poker chip style course, and swim relay. This weekend is one of the many highlights of the program that people remember for years afterward.
