I just came back form a trip in Maui with Shaka Divers. Of several dives, the most memorable included a scooter dive from the shore to a spot known as Marty's Reef. This dive was a one in a million dive. We sccotered out to the reef which is an oasis out in the middle of nowhere. The blue stripped grunts numbered in the hundreds. This reef had Mooreys, millions of fish and nudibrachs. To top it all off we were visited by four bottlenose dolphins. They came within six feet of us and hung out about a minute and half. To think the dive could not get much better, we eventully regained our composure and headed for shore. Our fist Manta Ray was with us upon return for about 2 minutes, the second for much longer.

If going to Maui,I could not recomend this diving more!!! I would not waste time diving unknown spots hoping to see the cool stuff, but spend a copule bucks and hire a guide. Shaka Divers (shakadivers.com) comes with all equipment that is needed or, bring your own. Doug Corbin has nearly 3500 logged dives in Maui alone and knows where to go!!

I have been visiting Maui and Doug since 2002. Shaka Divers Baby!!!!

If I could get some direction on how, I would be glad to post some video of the dolphins and manta from the scooter dive just described.

Aloha and happy diving!!!
