yes, you can defintely get tanks and weights at the fill station during the week, in the summer. I did it twice last year. weekends are more crowded.

call 310-510-0330, catalina divers supply, for hours of operation

the storage lockers are not huge, but they are big enough for a couple tanks, weights, fins, and maybe a couple other things.

tips - bring drinking water, food, sunscreen, a tarp. take a taxi back and forth from the ferry. stay overnight so you can do a night dive and a morning dive before the fill station reopens.
