Esa are the most dangerous exercise that a student has to do in an OW class (and learning does not take place because it‘s only done 2 or 3 times). Dive instructors need to be in the students face when doing an ESA.
I don’t think that most instructors I see today get it. They alone are responsible for their students safety (not the training agency, not the dive store and not the dive boat). Diver instructors have a license to kill (A fact that many forget).
