This trip started in Ketchikan where we met with Ray Troll and then wandered around in Frederick Sound doing whale watching and diving on the East and Southern parts of Baranof Island. The very southern tip of that island has a spot called Wooden Island (named after the ill-fated Issac Wooden - a member of Captain Cook's crew who fell off the boat and drowned) which I think is the best cold water dive in the world. Then we headed up to Icy Strait and did 3 days of diving around Inian Island which was also fantastic before finishing up in Juneau for the mandatory dives on the wrecks of the Princess Sophia and Princess Kathleen. Enjoy! Clinton PS - yes it was cold but nothing that couldn't be fixed with warm undergarments and a nice cup of cocoa or hot cider after the dive.
