Yah, between Santa Cruz and San Francisco is some really fun diving
It is cold, rough, nasty and has typical visibility of less than 6 feet, but I really
like diving there. There was one place in particular that I went diving at a lot,
Greyhound Rock. It is perhaps the toughest place to dive in California with tall
cliffs, great white sharks, huge green waves, elephant seals, a steep beach and
very very dangerous currents. Since you are diving on the reef in the entrance of
the cove, if a real big wave comes, it's gonna break on you.
So do some diving there and then when you go back to the UK, you'll find it a piece
of cake and lots of fun.
Enjoy the diving, seahunt
