Take your tank over to Openwater Habitat on 1st street and the 5 FWY. and talk to the owner, Mike. Not only does he have everything on-site to take care of tanks, he is an engineer and can honestly explain everything.

Many times the "flash" rusting can be cleaned with a special wire brush attached to a high speed tool. This removes the rust without removing any metal.
