Roland, the information came to me from Rick Kupke, Cory’s Dad. And take it from me, Topaz has a very nice break a fair amount of the time. Vets is a whole different bottom shape and is not a surf spot. As for the Lifeguards, the last time I looked (and it was a while ago) they were not manning every tower – seems they were on the two immediately south of the pier.
Believe what you like. I’m not selling anything here, just passing information.
It apparently was valid enough for the shark research folks to consider it.
