I agree with some of what you say as far as over population. What I take issue with is the attitude that seems to be put forth that we as divers own the ocean. We share it with others. Commercial fisherman have just as much of an interest in preserving the resource as anyone else. In fact is is in their long term best interests. As far as trapping is concerned. Lots of areas are off limits to trapping. However we can dive them and take what we want. Trappers can't take the big guys but there is no restriction on us. What I am saying is whats good for the goose is good for the gander.
