Are you aware of the comparrison between the takes? Have you seen how many traps are out there? The commercial guys are
pretty much unregulated. They can have as many traps as they want and boy do they. Do you know anything about harvesting
of wild crops, be it lobster, deer, timber or any other crop? Have you ever heard of Gold Fever? Are you aware of how many
fisheries have been destroyed in California by commercial
overharvesting? It is not the exception. It is the rule.
I don't see banning the fishery, but I'd like to see the laws be designed to promote sustainability at least. It's the Wild
West out there.
