9/20 report |
Posted by Scott S. on September 20, 2008 at 15:33:14:
We left Redondo at about 11:00 am "just to check it out", As soon as we left the harbor the "victory at sea" surface conditions gave us the feeling we probably weren't going to get wet today except maybe from a little spray. We headed out towards the Avalon site and when we got there Rocky point was blocking a little of the wind and swell, although there was a smoking NE current,, Hmmm,, OK let's give it a try,, to our surprise conditions were great on the wreck! 20'+ vis and no current. water temp at depth was 54F nice day on the Avalon if you don't mind doing your safety stop hanging on the the anchor line like a flag flapping on a pole,
