I didn't see a lot of non-consumptive divers on the list for applications to the stakeholders group, such as Elaine Tobin for example. The GLACD nominated both Steve and Ken Kurtis. If people don't join in the process, they get what they ask for. I think Steve is an excellent choice to voice the worries of non-consumptive divers and the diving community in general plus there isn't a lot of options. If the dive community cares about the process beyond posts on a bulletin board, they will need to communicate that with people like Steve.
