I often look for the thickest kelp I can find and go into the center of it. This year it was different, Apparently there
were fewer storms and it just got thicker without getting cleared out. It was harder to dive in. It wasn't just the
surface though. It was much thicker around the base of the bull kelp too. That was an interesting problem. A couple times I
got a bit looped around my ankle. That's unusual as I am extremely streamlined around my legs and feet. I don't move in
ways that get me tangled, but it did happen some.
Ya best be careful out there, but it is so beautiful.
Enjoy the diving, seahunt
