The Mola's dorsal fin was probably mangled by California Sea Lions.
They play Frisbee with the smaller Molas. If it was mangled by a
prop there would be distinct hash marks on the fish like on a lot
of manatees.

In Monterey, the Molas are hanging around late this year. Usually they are gone by the end of October.
