LA County is re-launching its scuba training programs which are show cased on this new website. UICC alumni are especially encouraged to visit it to promote their courses and receive an LA County scuba email address.

I spoke with Bill Lidyoff, Program Liaison Coordinator, today and he has some fresh and encouraging ideas for how the LA County program can improve how it works with dive shops and instructors.

Check out this new website for the history of scuba diving training and the programs offered by LA County.

Press Release:

Bill Lidyoff announces the launch of lacountyscuba.com. "The site content is loaded with both historical and current information on Los Angeles County Underwater Programs". LA County instructors can be listed on a “Find an Instructor” page to promote their courses and receive an lacountyscuba.com email address.

Video clips, articles, photos and calendar of events are just part of the new site. For those divers who need to replace a lost Los Angeles County scuba certification card, the card replacement form is now available under the “contact us” page. LA County Instructors will find an online form for student registrations and for their annual instructor renewal.

This website is dedicated to the history, tradition and the ongoing diver educational programs offered by the County of Los Angeles Underwater Unit. We welcome you to look around and see where diving education got its start.
