I find it sad that people sit around and complain about others that are trying to make diving safer in Southern California. I have to wonder abut the motivations of people that think a $1200.00 investment that can save lives is not a good idea. You can't be cheap when it comes to proven life-saving equipment. If these people would have attended the dive safety symposium this year they would have found out that many dive-related deaths could be prevented by having an on-board AED. The dive safety symposium was sponsored by the So. Cal. Dive Boat Association and the U.S. Coast Guard.

The So. Cal. Dive Boat Association is attempting to raise standards and make diving safer and better in our area through the programs Jerry outlined. It is cowardly to make comments anonymously and stand on the side lines complaining, while others do the hard work for dive safety or for conservation of of the underwater environment we all use. If you have any more comments to make, feel free to talk to me face to face.
