Conditions do not get better than on thur night. We arrived at Montage Resort in Laguna, the surf was non existant, flat to 1'. Vis was 20 to 30' with no surge, even in 5' of water, temp was a nice 55 degrees. There were around 5 other divers in the water or exiting as we were going down, all taking advantage of the great conditions. We were hunting bugs, but the conditions were too good, they stay in the holes when it is this calm. We did see some nice Abalone though, Rick got some nice shots of a juvenile Ab, and we saw two others that were easily legal, damn I miss the taste of tender Ab deep fried in peanut oil. The ocean was a lake tonight, these conditions come around a few nights per year, get out now. Only got one legal bug, tough hunting when the water is this calm.
