Spoke with Pat Duffy at last year's Scuba Show. He said the razers were being used for warm water diver training (overweighted divers and 'elevatoring') They were being consistently overinflated and the seam leaked after a lot of use. After replacing a bunch he decided to change the style to an inner bladder covered by a rugged cordura or other shell.

I've never had a problem with my razer, but I use it like a BC should be used - just a puff for compensation at depth and just a bit more to float at the surface (I wear 8 to 12 lbs, depending on my suit, so an 18# wing works well for me).
