Unlike their cousins, they start life inland in an industrial complex developed by completely different creatures. These creatures trade them for currency. The final trader sucks their guts out and ties them to the ocean floor. This is where they spend the remainder of their existence. There is another species of similar Anemones that is cast off by the traders. They perform a sort of "reverse salmon run" in a mad dash to the sea through culverts made by the very same creatures that made the Anemones. They live a plankton lifestyle and bob around the sea as nomads. Hope this clears it up ~eJ
