The goal is definitely to put the ship in the sand flat areas outside of the rock reef in the dive park. Many people know the Valiant is nearby to the NW. In order to reef the ship, details surveys of the planned sink location would (remember, this is a long way from a done deal...just talks right now) need to be conducted. Things that would affect it:
1) No impact on exisiting reef structure;
2) Recreational dive depths;
3) No hazard to boat traffic and also safety to divers from passing boat traffic;
4) Resting location that would be relatively secure from expected surge, swell, & storm action.
