Wow, what a bug dive, awesome pics. Now we better start looking at these other topics. Yes I do release the biggest bugs I catch now, and yes the trappers and the divers have existed for years with a stable fishery. But now add hoopnetters to this fishery and that I believe has changed everything. Just go to any hoopnetting site on the net and look at the reports, they are getting easy limits and lots of the biggest bugs out there. Its no coincidence that the largest bug ever recorded by DFG was taken this season by a hooper on the LB wall, 18lbs. Not to mention, a whole dive site can be ruined by just 5 boats deploying 10 traps per boat, I saw about 50 trap buoys along the Redondo wall one night this season. Look for major changes soon, and then there is this MLPA THING, get em while you can LABUGMAN.
