I'll let you know. I had hoped the slots would have been big enough to let me run the webbing on the diver's back side of the plate - the tank straps would have held the wing in place really securely. The top was OK, but the bottom slot was about 3 inches too narrow. So I went to the next best arrangement - the tank will keep the wing seated.

The old style plate was perfect for this application, as the lower tank's protrusion should allow the air in the wing's bladder to move freely.

Will post how it works in a week or so. Runoff has been pretty bad and no sense risking an infection from teh LA run off crud.
