That's going to be a tough time to try and find any decent conditions up here. The north coast right now is really torn up and there are never any guarantees. That's not to say that when this storm system passes through it won't lay down like a lake, but it's really day to day, nothing you can bank on.
I would recommend Monterey at this point. There are several charter boats that go to some awesome spots.
The conditions are generally more reliable.

We would love for you guys to enjoy the north, but at the same time I don't want to see you waste a bunch of time and gas getting up here and not be able to dive.

Sheephunter also has a good suggestion to shoot down to Ventura and get on the Peace. You can't beat the deal with all the food, bunk, and diving included.
