Ask for an office with an ocean view!
Ask for a sign on the door that says "Center for the Preservation of Southern California Diving Culture".
Make sure from the start your boss understands that diving has to be fun or people won't do it. Make sure he/she signs a paper agreeing to support fun.
Hire sherpas! Donkeys that pull dive gear carts up and down the hill would be cute, but their carbon footprint might come under criticism - golf carts possibly a better option. Put a statue in front of your office celebrating the mythical dive sherpa.
Lastly don't forget the dive gear wash service so no one even has to clean the salt and the sand off their own stuff.
It will be the most successful dive operation around!
