They're MPAs (Marine Protected Areas).

MLPA stands for "Masrine Life Protection Act" (th eoriginal legilsation.

MLPAI stands for "Marine Life Protection Act Initiative" (general referring the the ongoing rpocess itself.

It may sound pikcy, but it's helpful to use the right nomenclature, escpeially when you realize a wrong letter here or there may mean something totally different.
