Thanks for the tip. I'd seen that site description, but frustratingly, no one mentions the species in the comments. We have purps and reds up here, so only whites are worth traveling for.

We're flying from Seattle, so the price of a tank or two of gas is incidental! Flying into LA would probably be cheaper than our other options, so if we have an excuse to go there then drive north, it's a wash.
