CHAMBER DAY/EVE 2009 - EVENT UPDATE #2 |
Posted by Chamber day 2009 on March 25, 2009 at 11:33:09:
(As of 3/25/09 - last update was 3/18/09) We are well into things now and it's interesting as some aspects are ahead of last year's pace and some aspects are behind last year's pace. As I've said before, the economy is an uncertainity that will likely have an effect on the event, but we're just not sure how. It was interesting listening to President Obama's press conference last night when he commented on economic conditions and how they might affect charitable donations. His opinion was that in tough times, people are still willing to dig down to give whatever they can. here's hoping he's right in that assessment, certainly as much as it might apply to Chmaber Day. Our Chamber is a vital safety net for the SoCal diving community. Your support keeps it strong. So get involved with one or more aspects of Chamber Day 2009. Here’s where we are as of 11AM on 3/25: CHAMBER DAY BOATS (sponsor) Boats can be booked either through the sponsor, the website, or by calling us at the general phone number: Bottom Scratcher (Pacific Wilderness) - 6 sold, 24 available CHAMBER EVENING TABLES (table sponsor & total seats) Note that a few tables that are listed as SOLD OUT may actually still have unpaid/available seats through the table sponsor. Please check with them directly. (Table sponsors names are listed in the order they appear in our book because it’s a nightmare to track them on this sheet any other way.) Reef Seekers (20) - 10 sold, 10 available CHAMBER CHALLENGE Your Chamber needs you. Join in on the fun!!!! Ken Kurtis |
