Divers may be interested to know that local dive boats routinely help each other out by relaying emergency transmissions via VHF when a boat is in a transmission shadow, provide air fills for a boat who's compressor has failed and most importantly.... bring toilet paper when a boat runs out!!! :>)

I've personally been there in at least two of those situations.

Regardless of what you think of ANY of the dive boats on the water out of any SoCal port, the SouCal Dive Boat Fleet is, in my opinion, the finest on the planet.

It speaks to your metal when you post what you posted, Tim. And it peaks to the metal of those who responded.

Now, can some of you guys run trips out of the Sacramento area? My gills are friggin' drying out!

Ian
