Not bad, but we can do better.

Interestingly, it seems that the boats for Chamber Day and the tables for Chamber Eve are filling up more quickly than last year. But the Challenge and the Dutchman seem to be lagging behind last year's pace. So hopefully we can get you all to collectively help us pick up the pace in those areas.

Don't lose sight of the vital link that our Chamber plays as a safety net for SoCal divers. Especially with the closure over the years of other chambers (like Northridge), the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber becomes the only one you can count on on a 24/7/365 basis. And the real question is: What's that worth to you?

Although we try to make the overall event as fun as possible, don't lose sight of the serious role Chamber day plays in funding our Chamber. And in these perilous economic times, with governments looking for any cutback on public funding they can find, it means our Chamber could be in a vulnerable position. This is our opportunity to make sure that we keep that vulnerability to a minimum.
