I recently built a very fast i7 system for editing raw photos. I am using Vista 64 for the OS and found it was not compatible with my existing IrDA adapter and older version of the Scubapro/Uwatec SmartTRAK software.

Not wanting to pay Scuapro's inflated price for their IrDA adapter I found the Gen Tech Mars-II for $18 which is plug-and-play compatible with both Vista and XP.

To get everything to work with Vista 64 I downloaded the latest version of the SmartTRAK software and installed it. The IrDA adapter installs itself when pugged into the system. You can transfer your dive log from another version of SmartTRAK and import it into the new version. One I did all of that my TEC 2G computers work great with my new Vista system.
