A great resource for finding dive sites is "Boating and Diving Catalina Island" by Bruce Wicklund.

Bruce is a harbor patrol officer on Catalina and has written a great book about dive sites. He has GPS coordinates as well as written descriptions and pictures (from the bat towards shore) of many of the lineups for the sites.
