I'm the biggest kelp hugger on this board besides Brad. I bookmarked the url you provided and am always searching for new information on the state of the oceans. I speak at a number of schools and like to know that what I tell the kids is based the most up to date science. May I suggest you (and everyone else here) try to see "The End of the Line"? It's a doc that just premiered at UCLA about some of the overfishing/bycatch atrocities being committed by the world's governments and fishing fleets. It is being called 'The Inconvenient Truth' for the ocean. It's not a fun movie but does lay out some appalling facts about sustainability. I think it will be screening at the Laemmle soon.
And thanks Ken!
Steve
