Dendraster excentricus (Sand Dollar) from San Clemente Island |
Posted by Chris on June 15, 2009 at 12:31:09:
These images of Dendraster excentricus (Pacific Sand Dollar, Common Sand Dollar, Western Sand Dollar, Sand dollar, Eccentric Sand Dollar) were taken on the Sea Divers trip to Tanner Bank, Cortes Bank, and San Clemente Island on May 30-31, 2009. These images are from the first dive on May 31, 2009 in Seal Cove, San Clemente Island California. The depth was 60 feet which was surprising to me because along the mainland I have typically found them at 12-20 ft.
