Of course I did not mean this. Just wanted to get your attention. I hope both are incorrect. All of the California Dive Fleet is in trouble. If the person that posted below about the costs of the boats is correct compared to the ridiculous profits of the shops we have no hope for dive boats to continue. I read some stupid post from an ex dive shop owner that only the best boats will survive, and the rest will go out of business. Perhaps that is correct, but in another way. The only boats to survive will be the ones with the best money loans and that will only for a year or two. For shops to make anywhere from 40 to 100% profit will put the dive boat community out of business. It is time for all boats to cancel all their trips with shops and run them themselves. No exceptions. I know that some dive shops are challenging the boats to do just that. It is time. It is time for the shops to help out the divers, instead of abusing them.
