| Sentences look very light to me |

Perhaps if the judge were named "Mike Nelson" (from sea hunt) instead of "David Nelson" (played on Payton Place & the Love Boat, and directed some episodes of Ozzie and Harriet) the sentences would provide more of a deterrent. I am very removed from abalone hunting as I don't eat sea food and only tasted an abalone once to see what the fuss was about (ick) but I know that there are a lot of people who seem to love them and their value puts the entire abalone population at risk. I would have been happier reading this thinking "wow, he threw the book at them" instead of feeling like they got a hand slap.
