Great diving Tuesday at Monterey although the vis only 10-15. Dove McAbee to about 40 feet then the Breakwater to about 52 feet. Nice cold water at Breakwater. Drove down Highway 1 and saw some nice places. Monastery was rocking like a big monster. Someday I'm going to dive Mill Creek; it was almost divable yesterday. Big round rocks and big fish. Definite kayak dive. Thought about Jade Cove but didn't want to get my butt kicked that bad. Solo kayak dive with pony tank 50 feet south of Cambria Rock. Great dive. 10 foot vis., but opened up as I got to about 30 feet. Dove down the yellow anchor line to 50 feet and didn't get to far from it. Very dark as I was diving in total fog, but could still see a good 20-25 feet on the bottom. Blues lined up for miles, and saw a few nice reds and browns. Lots of baby fish. No lings and no great whites. Got really lost trying to find my way in. The new bridge should be done in the next couple of days. they have been working on it for a few years, I think. My rule for Cambria- if I can see 10 feet down I'll dive it; if I can hardly see my weight belt- forget it. Take care and be safe. B. Xavier
